Writing copy for Starfield apps

If you write text that winds up in a Starfield app, you are a copywriter — regardless of your job title. And if you're a copywriter, you should stick to our copy guidelines so every Starfield app feels like it has the same internal voice.

These apply to Starfield's own documentation, or an app that uses Starfield.

English Conventions

1. Use "you".
2. Use the active voice.
3. Use a gender-neutral pronoun.
4. Refer to users as "users".
5. Avoid "should", unless when only as an advisory.

Writing style guide

1. Use sentence case everywhere: headings, body text, button labels, input labels.
2. Capitalize only proper names, including "Jobilla" and "Starfield".
